On 11 November 2020, the General Secretariat of the Wage Guarantee Fund agreed to modify the application form for benefits established in article 33 of the Revised Text of the Workers' Statute Law.
In the event that the representative -or proxy- is obliged to deal with the administration electronically, the application for benefits must be registered in the electronic headquarters of the Wage Guarantee Fund. In all other cases, the application may be submitted at the registers of the Wage Guarantee Fund offices, or at any of the offices and registers referred to in art. 16 of Law 39/2015, of 1 October. This form will be used for both electronic and face-to-face filing from 24 November 2020.
Remember that FOGASA (Fondo de Garantía Salarial) is a body that is responsible for paying the wages and compensation of workers, within the legally established limits, in the event that the company is unable to do so due to insolvency.
